Support our mission
A mission-driven nonprofit, Young Performers Theatre remains committed to offering participation in fully staged repertory productions free of charge and expanding outreach to schools and communities that lack access to theatre arts-based enrichment curricula. However, revenue-generating activities (sales of tickets to Repertory shows, tuition from summer camps and Academy classes, fees from renting out our space, etc.) cover less than half of our operating expenses. Consequently, we rely on the generous support of donors to bridge the gap and further our Mission.
Donors can support our annual fund or earmark contributions for specific purposes including:
Bringing YPT programming to a particular school or institution;
Upgrading our performance space and technical infrastructure at Fort Mason;
Sponsoring a child to participate in our programs;
Enabling our staff to attend conferences and workshops so they can interact with specialists, educators and program directors who share common interests around early childhood development, social-emotional learning, and drama and storytelling as therapeutic tools;
Stipends for staff to write grants, plan new programs and explore ways to codify and validate YPT methodologies as well as monetize its intellectual property;
Photo and video documentation of YPT’s contributions to education and the arts.
