Spring Session now in full swing!  Summer class schedule is:

Classes are from 10:00-3:00, Monday through Thursday, Friday 10:00-4:00.  Performance will be on the Friday at 3:00.
Tuition is $225 per week.

Ages 5-7
This class is for graduates of Let’s Pretend and other young children who are learning to love the magic of drama. Students act out classic and contemporary stories, as well as creating their own unique adventures. Major emphasis will be placed on pantomime, improvisation, character development and the fundamentals of story structure.

Mondays and Wednesdays 4:30-6:00 July 9-August 1

CREATIVE DRAMA
Ages 5-7
This class is for graduates of Let’s Pretend and other young children who are learning to love the magic of drama. Students act out classic and contemporary stories, as well as creating their own unique adventures. Major emphasis will be placed on pantomime, improvisation, character development and the fundamentals of story structure. Cost: $220, Mondays 4:30-6:00 pm

LET’S PRETEND
Ages 3.5-5
For our “Youngest Performers”, YPT offers this introduction to creative drama through storytelling, puppetry, dramatization and music. Kids will learn to act out classic stories as they craft and create their own dialogue and action.
Cost: $180, Saturdays 10:00 am – 10:45 am

SLAPSTICK, COMEDY & THE MOVIES
Ages 8 – 11
A whole new approach – Learn techniques of slapstick, physical comedy and feature them in a movie! Students will work on a movie that includes slapstick and physical comedy. The movie will be written and created by the students and filmed by a professional cinematographer. At the end of the semester family and friends will be invited to the premiere! Cost: $220
Tuesdays 4:30 – 6:00 pm

MUSICAL THEATRE
Ages 8 – 11
Put on your own Broadway musical! The class will focus on basic singing technique and voice control, as well as dance styles and the ability to “deliver” a song. Students will work on a mini-musical for presentation at the end of the semester. Cost: $220
Wednesdays 4:30-6:00 pm

Presenting…YOUR SHOW
Age 9 – 12
Students will write, cast and produce their own skits with the other students in the class. Students choose to write, act or direct or all three. And of course, this class culminates in a fully-staged performance for family and friends. Cost: $ 220
Thursdays 4:30-6:00 pm

Theatre Techniques
Ages 10 – 13
Emphasis on acting skills: voice control, projection, enunciation, physical being on stage, dramatic understanding, audition techniques. Class will end in each student doing single monologue and a duet with a fellow student. Cost: $220 Fridays 4:30-6:00 pm
